Champions announce their retirement at Blackpool Festival

Four top Professional Latin couples announced their retirement from competitive dancing tonight! It was the last chance to see them on the floor competing against each other and we are going to miss them so much!
The first surprise was to see Rachid Malki and Anna Suprun announcement in the programme. This Blackpool was to be their last competition.
The second surprise happened after the final Jive. Markus Hilton asked everybody for attention and read out two goodbye letters: Jurij and Jagoda Batagelj and Andrej Skufca and Melinda Torokgyorgy thanked everybody for their support through the years and the fantastc time they had as competitors.
Michal Malitowski and Joanna Leunis won tonight and it was their 8th consecutive win at Blackpool. After the winners were announced Markus Hilton read the third goodbye letter and Michal and Joanna danced their beautiful Rumba to say their farewell...
End of an era.... and a beginning of a new one!
