It is all well Dancer 007.

Jazz is very disappointed with FIDs and the support from Russia. It appears that only a miracle would change the unfortunate situation. There is just too much of bad blood.

Thanks.

Jazz

You said you were very disappointed in FIDS and the support from Russia. You should have said support from the IDSF member from Russia – who can never claim to represent Russia as long as they ban their members from competing in other competitions in Russia and do not hold open competitions.

Will there be other teams and dancers "representing" their countries dancing at Blackpool?

Should have -  Could have....

Since Quicktime2 had never complained when another poster, and also WDC  noted that   "Canada supported the  motion..."  , instead  of  saying CDDSC supported the motion ..."    ,  Jazz thought  Quicktime2  would be more accomodating, flexible, and willing to accept if Jazz  mentioned Russia -   to indicate the direction of the mentioned support.

Naturally Jazz could have gone deeper and further detailed, and identified the source of the support, but thought it was self-explanatory.

Of course you are right, and thank you for refining the post,  we would not want someone else  to misunderstand .

Jazz ,

The point is that in Russia there would be many, many more dancers competing outside of the IDSF control than in IDSF control. Far more who are dancing in free and open market competitions. Like members of IDSA and IDU for example and the like. It makes the IDSF member for Russia somewhat irrelevant.

Suppose Russia is a harder nut to crack.   IDSF could learn a lesson from the history,  Napoleon and Hitler / France  and Germany.

Thanks for  explaining, see your point

Hi Keggs

you are right, this "discussion" is becoming rediculous with few contributors making 90% of comments. As for the petition, If I start  a petition " do you want more money in your pocket and pay lass taxes" I coud expect close to 100% of readers to agree.

As for the freedom to dance wherever I want, sure I looks like only a very stupid person woul disagree. I was just watching "So you think you can dance" on television. 3000 plus people wanted to dance. Complete freedom. It is the sort of freedom WDC is talking about? Or do dancers have to be members of any of the many associations, unions, federations or whatever name they can think of? Can I start my own federation, join the e.g. Amateur Liegue, become the president of my new federation without any control other than Tax Office?

In any organised sport you cannot have a total freedom. Oterwise you will have chaos.
