Tone Nyhagen is known as one of the top names in the world of Ballroom and Latin American dancing a former world latin champion herself, has coached many world champion couples and has contributed to the dance community in more ways than can possibly be noted.  She is highly respected not only for her vast accomplishments but also for her incredible work ethic, strength of character and for her selflessness in basically dedicating her life to helping those around her.  Now it is time, in her hour of need, for her to be on the receiving end of help as she has been diagnosed with STAGE IV MALIGNANT MELANOMA. To be exact it is Malignant Melanoma stage 4, M1B. Which means it has now spread, it is in her bloodstream and lining of her left lung.

As many know, melanoma is a very aggressive cancer.  The treatment she is currently receiving is a drug called Zelboraf.  Such treatments can help save her life, are very intense, expensive and have their side effects.  Money is not something that anyone should have to worry about, especially Tone during such a time wracked with adversity.  We are actively trying to raise funds to hopefully cover any treatment and all of the time she will take off from work.
